Multi-element geochemistry across a Carlin-type gold district: Jerritt Canyon, Nevada

$10.00

Published district-scale maps of gold and multi-element data for districts of
Carlin-type gold deposits (CTGDs) in Nevada are lacking, despite the fact that CTGDs
account for60%of annualU.S. gold production and 6.5% of annualworldwide production.
In this study, maps of the hydrothermal footprint of the Jerritt Canyon district,
based on distribution of gold and associated trace elements, reveal patterns that are applicable
to exploration and lend insight to the nature of fluid flow in CTGDs.
