Biogeochemical methods in geothermal resource exploration, Reese River KGRA, Lander County, Nevada

$10.00

In the early 1980’s, Phillips Minerals/Geothermal Division identified a “blind”
geothermal resource now called the Reese River prospect in central Lander
County, Nevada, and currently leased by Sierra Geothermal Power (SGP). Contoured
deep drilling data show that the heat flow anomaly associated with this resource
is approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) wide along a 4.8 km (3 miles) northeast-
trending zone that overlies part of the regional, 240 km (150 mile) long
Humboldt Structural Zone.
