GSN FALL FIELD TRIP – OCTOBER 11-13, 2024

The GSN’s 2024 Fall Field Trip will take place October 11^th – 13^th with visits to the Miocene, low-sulfidation, epithermal gold deposits of the past-producing Hog Ranch and Hayden Hill mines in northern Washoe County, NV, and Lassen County, CA, respectively.  We plan to depart from the GSN office Gold Building at DRI in Reno during the afternoon on Friday the 11^th with an overnight stay in Gerlach.  On Saturday the 12^th we will visit the Hog Ranch mine area, held by Rex Minerals Ltd., and traverse the Cottonwood Creek volcanic center/caldera(?) before heading to Alturas, CA for the night of the 12^th.  On Sunday the 13^th we will visit the Hayden Hill mine of Four Nines Gold Inc. and then return to Reno.
