Title: “Tungsten in Nevada: Geology, Legacy Production, and Future Supply at the Pilot Mountain and Tempiute Projects

Abstract: Guardian Metal Resources is an exploration and development company focused on advancing two co-flagship tungsten projects in Nevada: Pilot Mountain in Mineral County and Tempiute in Lincoln County. Tungsten has come under increased focus within the critical minerals sector due to its wide-ranging applications in industrial and defense industries, as well as undergoing a supply squeeze that has driven the price of tungsten (APT) up by more than 1000% since early 2024. Pilot Mountain is an advanced-stage development project, with a PFS scheduled for completion before the end of Q2 2026. Mineralization consists of multiple zones of W-Cu-Ag-Zn skarn hosted within the Triassic Luning Formation, proximal to contacts with Cretaceous quartz monzonite intrusions. Recent drilling has resulted in an updated mineral resource estimate for the Desert Scheelite zone, which includes an indicated resource of 8.70 Mt at 0.21% WO₃ and an inferred resource of 1.78 Mt at 0.17% WO₃. Ongoing exploration and drilling are focused on defining additional resources in other zones, including Garnet, Gunmetal, and Good Hope. Tempiute was a historically significant underground tungsten producer, mined by Union Carbide until the early 1980s. Mineralization consists of W-Cu-Ag-Zn-Ga skarns hosted within Devonian to Carboniferous limestones, proximal to two Cretaceous intrusions. Current work is focused on identifying remaining resources in unmined areas and evaluating opportunities for near-term production from legacy mine tailings and ore stockpiles on site. In addition to introducing the projects and their geology, this presentation will also examine the unique role tungsten plays in the global economy.

Bio: Patrick Quillen is Chief Geologist at Guardian Metal Resources where he has worked since November 2025. Previously he spent four years with i-80 Gold, primarily at the Ruby Hill project, and four and a half years with Agnico Eagle working on exploration projects across the United States.
