Upcoming One-Day GSN Field Trip

“Understanding the Geology of Peavine, Washoe County, NV”

Led by Dr. Donald Hudson

Saturday, August 23, 2025 meeting at 8am

Meet at the GSN Office Gold Building, 2175 Raggio Parkway, Reno, NV

The GSN invites you to a one-day geologic tour of selected sites in the Wedekind and Peavine districts at the north end of Reno, NV led by Dr. Donald Hudson. Participants will assemble at the GSN Office Gold Building on Saturday, August 23 at 8am. Carpooling is encouraged, though not mandatory – and vehicle consolidation can take place on the morning of the field trip. This trip will not require any off-road driving. Please bring your own lunch and beverages. We expect the tour to run for 5-6 hours, ending at approximately 2pm. The field trip is FREE, but please register HERE so that we can anticipate an accurate headcount.
